Emergency service teams were called to a serious crash in Godshill on the Isle of Wight last night (Saturday).

The incident happened on the High Street at around 11pm, near Godshill Model Village.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was among those called to the scene.

The road was blocked for a time, between Hollow Lane and School Crescent.

Closed in both directions, Southern Vectis Route 3 buses had to divert after Rookley, via Merstone, Arreton and Canteen Road to reach Whiteley Bank.

The diversion operated in both directions.
