A large funfair lorry has ‘accidently collided’ with railings around a newly opened seafront garden on the Isle of Wight – just a day after it was opened by Princess Anne.

The incident happened this afternoon (Tuesday, August 4) on Albany Road, leading to East Cowes Esplanade.
A section of the black metal railings has been bent and pulled from their foundations after the lorry attempted to take the tight left-hand turn at the corner of Columbine Road.
The damaged railings surround Albany Garden, the new waterfront public space, which was officially opened by the Princess Royal during a visit to East Cowes yesterday.
East Cowes Town Council has confirmed the damage was caused in an "accidental collision" and says the cost of repairs will be fully covered.
The town council said: "Naturally, this is disappointing.
“However, the incident was reported immediately, responsibility has been accepted, and the full cost of repairs will be met.
"The important thing is that nobody was injured and that action is already being taken to put things right.
"I would encourage everyone to be understanding while the repairs are arranged and to remember that accidents can happen despite people's best intentions.”
The lorry involved, which was carrying a large clown figure attached to the rear, is understood to be part of Carnival Funfairs and arrived ahead of the East Cowes Festival.
The company has advertised that it will be providing dodgems, a ghost train and inflatables at the festival, which runs from August 6 to 8.
Princess Anne was guest of honour at Monday's opening ceremony, where she unveiled commemorative plaques and toured the area.
During her visit, she also viewed the newly installed and restored propeller from the Princess Margaret hovercraft, which has been put on permanent display nearby as part of the wider waterfront improvements.
