Isle of Wight crash involving e-bike leaves man seriously injured

An arrest has been made after a man suffered serious injuries in a collision involving an e-bike in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary was called to Beatrice Avenue at 10.34pm.

A 22-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A second man suffered minor injuries.

A 20-year-old man from East Cowes was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

He is currently in police custody.
