THE ISLE of Wight looks set for another week of scorching weather, although forecasters say there are early signs this prolonged spell of heat could begin to ease by next weekend.
Monday, July 13
Conditions will remain hot across the Island. A cooling east to north-easterly breeze will help take the edge off the heat, particularly along eastern and northern coasts.
Temperature: Around 28C to 31C.
Tuesday, July 14
Another hot and sunny day is expected, with temperatures climbing into the low 30s, especially across western parts of the Island.
As the breeze gradually eases, the heat will become more noticeable.
Temperature: 28C to 32C.
Wednesday, July 15
The hot spell continues, although there will be a little more cloud drifting north from the south at times. Despite this, conditions will stay very warm.
Temperature: 26C to 28C.

Thursday, July 16
Temperatures could climb once again, according to Isle of Wight Met Service forecaster Jamie Russell, while increasing humidity could make it feel considerably hotter.
There is also the possibility of a few thundery showers developing later in the day, although some weather models suggest more widespread showers.
If that happens, temperatures may stay closer to the mid-20s.
Temperature: 29C to 32C (or 24C to 26C in any showery conditions).
Friday, July 17
Some weather models are hinting at potentially thundery conditions moving north from the south, while others suggest slightly cooler air edging down from the north.
Despite the uncertainty, the day is still expected to be hot and quite humid, with an increasing chance of isolated thundery showers.
Temperature: 27C to 30C.
When will the heatwave break?
The Isle of Wight Met Service said there are "subtle hints of a change towards next weekend", although hot conditions are expected to dominate throughout the working week.
The BBC Weather team expects temperatures to remain widely in the high 20s and low 30s through much of the week — even where thundery showers develop.
However, low pressure moving north, from the Bay of Biscay, south of the Island, is expected to increase the chances of rain later in the following week.
According to BBC forecasters, it is not until the end of this week that heatwave conditions are likely to ease more widely, as cooler northerly winds arrive and bring an end to the prolonged hot spell.
