Medina College has capacity for families who need their children to attend school in a supervised classroom.
Year 10 mock exams will be rearranged.
A spokesperson for the secondary school said: "We have endeavoured to remain open for as long as possible. However, the extreme conditions combined with reducing staffing levels due to sudden childcare challenges, mean we can no longer safely remain fully open for all students.
"We have endeavoured to remain open, however, the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff must remain our absolute priority in these unprecedented conditions."
Several primary schools across the Island closed early today due to the extreme heat.
