Scottish songstress KT Tunstall took over the Isle of Wight Festival Main Stage this weekend, and from Top 40 hits to a surprise guest appearance, she was clearly a fan favourite at Seaclose Park.
Chatting to the County Press after her set, KT described the performance as ‘absolutely mega,’ despite the fact her in-ear monitors stopped working during the last two songs.
“I just thought, I’ve just got to do a trust fall,” she said.
“I’ve done this many, many times. So it was a total thrill.
“It was a bit of a roller coaster, but you know, that's what you want from a festival gig.”
Aside from hits including Suddenly I See and Black Horse and the Cherry Tree, the standout moment from KT’s set was the surprise appearance of British-Italian singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti.

The musician made the trip to the Island for the performance of Tempting Fate, his latest single, which features KT.
“Jack is such an incredible live singer,” KT said.
“I was just so thrilled when he asked me to be on the record, because we've known each other for 20 years.
“I think both of us are just still amazed that we've got a job, and we're still doing it all these years later.”
KT’s first album came out in 2004, and she told us that her voice has matured over time, which paired perfectly with Jack’s vocals.
“I think our voices match really well, but I love the song.
“It was just so good of him to come over to the Island just to come and sing in the set.”
No stranger to Seaclose Park, KT has performed at the Isle of Wight Festival many a time, and she never takes the opportunity for granted.
“I've just always felt very honoured to be part of the line-up here because the Island has got such an iconic history, particularly with rock and roll and with bands,” KT said.
“I just love the history of people getting on stage and playing the hell out of their set and being really good at what they do.”
The Isle of Wight Festival continues today (Sunday), with performances on the way from The Cure, The Kooks and The Last Dinner Party.
