Isle of Wight Festival 2026 daily weather forecast

As thousands prepare to descend on Newport from Thursday (June 18) to Sunday (June 21), conditions are shaping up to deliver a classic early summer backdrop — more sunshine and sunglasses than mud and wellies.

High pressure is expected to keep unsettled weather at bay, giving the popular annual event a welcome run of fine conditions, the national Met Office has said.

Daytime temperatures are set to reach the high teens to low 20s Celsius, with some light cloud, but humid, with Sunday set to be the warmest day.

Thursday, June 18
A mainly dry, bright start to the festival, with a mix of sunny spells and patchy cloud through the day.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 19–20C in the afternoon, slipping back to about 14–15C in the evening, with only a low chance of a light shower.

Friday, June 19
Friday should feel warmer and more summery, with good sunny intervals and long dry periods for most of the day.

Afternoon highs are likely to edge to around 20–22C, with a mild night in the mid‑teens and light to moderate breezes across the site.

Saturday, June 20
Saturday looks to be one of the warmest days, with plenty of brightness and a distinctly “shorts and T‑shirt” feel on the Medina.

Temperatures could climb to the low‑to‑mid‑20s — roughly 22–24C — although a rogue shower can’t be completely ruled out later.

Sunday, June 21
Sunday is forecast to stay largely dry and warm, but with a slightly greater risk of something heavier and thundery developing as humidity builds.

Highs are again expected to be around 21–23C, before easing back into the mid‑teens in the evening as the event winds down to its finale.

Be sure to pack your sunscreen, hats and plenty of water, with a light waterproof just in case.
