An Isle of Wight distillery has sailed to victory in a drinks industry regatta.
Mermaid, the award-winning spirits brand from the Isle of Wight Distillery, took first place at the Drinks Trade Regatta, which took place in Cowes on June 4 and 5.
The annual event, now in its 20th year, is organised by Prometheus Sailing and brings together drinks and hospitality industry teams for a two-day sailing competition.
Xavier Baker, co-founder of Mermaid, said: "To win the Drinks Trade Regatta on our home waters is incredibly special.

"The event brings together so many fantastic people from across the drinks and hospitality industries, while raising valuable funds for The Drinks Trust and Only A Pavement Away.
"We're proud to have taken the title and grateful to everyone who helped make the event such a success."
The regatta also raises funds for industry charities, with this year’s event generating £4,500 for The Drinks Trust and Only A Pavement Away.
The Mermaid team, racing on Prometheus’ Mermaid Spirit, included representatives from Mermaid, Loungers UK, and Maverick Drinks.
They secured overall victory with two race wins and two second-place finishes.
Second place went to the Hawksbill Team of Matthew Clark and Beds & Bars, while Clark & Son Solicitors finished third.
