Isle of Wight motorist caught drug driving on busy route

AN ISLE of Wight drug driver caught on a busy main route has been banned from the road and hit in the pocket.

The case of Anish Tiwari, of West Hill Road, Ryde, went before Isle of Wight magistrates on Friday, June 5.

The 22-year-old admitted drug driving, between Lake and Shanklin, on February 11.

The court heard he was caught driving a SAAB on Sandown Road and tested positive for cannabis, registering a reading above the specified limit.

Tiwari was fined £430 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

He was also ordered to pay costs of £85.
