AN ISLE of Wight drug driver caught while already banned from the road has been sentenced.
The case of Benjamin Flux, of Yarborough Road, East Cowes, went before Isle of Wight magistrates on Friday, May 8.
At a previous hearing, the 32-year-old admitted drug driving, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance, in East Cowes, on June 23.
The court heard he was caught driving a Suzuki RF600 on Whippingham Road and tested positive for cannabis.
Flux was fined £40 and made subject of a 12-month community order, to include a 12-day mental health treatment requirement and 15 rehabilitation days.
He was disqualified from driving for 36 months and ordered to pay a £114 surcharge.
