A creative fundraiser has turned skate decks into works of art to help build a new skatepark on the Isle of Wight.
The Skate Deck Art Auction, launched by Freshwater Parish Council, will support a skatepark and pump track in Freshwater.
The opening night was held at Newport and Carisbrooke Community Centre and drew a large crowd for an evening dedicated to skateboarding culture.

Kirsty Gibson, clerk of Freshwater Parish Council, said: "The opening night was a fantastic success and really showed what can be achieved when the community comes together.
"The creativity from our local artists has been incredible, and seeing people of all ages engaging with the project highlights just how important this new skatepark and pump track will be for Freshwater.
"We’re extremely grateful for the support we’ve received so far, including the generous donation from the High Sheriff, and we’re excited to keep building momentum."
The event included a live skate ramp and demonstrations from skaters and riders.
The online auction runs until May 9, with all proceeds supporting the Freshwater Skatepark and Pump Track project.
