Cherry Godfrey has acquired the client portfolio of Ward House Mortgages and Life.
The deal strengthens the company's presence on the Isle of Wight and covers mortgage, life insurance, and general insurance clients.
Ward House, a family-run business based in Ryde, has been advising the Island community for more than 35 years.
Its founder, Michael J. Ward, will join Cherry Godfrey as a non-executive director.

Mr Ward said: "After many years of advising clients on mortgages and protection, I have made the decision to begin stepping back from day-to-day broking.

Clients will now be supported by Cherry Godfrey’s UK head office in Newport, Isle of Wight.
Cherry Godfrey, in business for more than 32 years, offers a range of financial services including mortgages, personal and business finance, life insurance, and general insurance.
