A cosmetics clinic has been recognised as the best specialist skin and laser clinic on the Isle of Wight by a global organisation.

Clare's Cosmetic Skin Centre on West Street in Brading has been given the title by the Global Health and Pharma Excellence Awards.

Judges' comments singled out the business for 'its longstanding commitment to high-quality, non-invasive aesthetic treatments and its trusted reputation within the local community.'

Clare Jilani, who runs the clinic with Naomi O'Hara, have built up a 'strong professional reputation', the judges' comments said, reflecting 'outstanding client satisfaction'.

Naomi specialises in permanent cosmetics and medical tattooing, and both have 20 years of experience.

Clare has also trained nurses and practitioners locally, contributing to the development of those entering the industry.

On what makes the business stand out, Clare said: "My experience makes me stand out in the industry, being one of the first aestheticians to train in the UK in aesthetic technologies and being an aesthetician and registered manager of the Island's first cosmetic clinic.

"I have helped many people resolve skin concerns with a combination of treatment and homecare with science backed products.  I find this the most rewarding part of my work.

"I think being cautious, ethical and putting my client's wellbeing first before anything has earned my reputation."
