An exhibition by a Ukrainian artist who fled the war will be on display on the Isle of Wight.
The show, featuring the work of Yana Barabash, will run at the Dimbola Museum and Galleries from March 13 to June 7.
Ms Barabash and her mother fled the Russian invasion in Ukraine, leaving their home in Odesa and settling on the Island.
The light of Freshwater, the sea, and the landscape of the Isle of Wight form an environment that Ms Barabash described as both intimate and powerful.
The exhibition features several groups of works created in England, some directly inspired by the Island, and others continuing her practice of portraiture and figurative scenes drawn from personal life.
In these pieces, Ms Barabash explores elemental themes, like stone, roots, petals - in her ongoing search for stability and harmony.
Trained at the Kostandi Art School and the Grekov Odesa State Art College, she has exhibited in Ukraine, Spain, London, and on the Island.
In 2025, she was a winner in the UK Women in Art show at the Roundhouse in London.
Dimbola’s second spring exhibition, Eavesdropping on the Other World, will run concurrently in the studio gallery and features new work by artist and photographer Syd Buron.

Mr Buron said: "I am honoured to once again be exhibiting in the room, which was once Julia Margaret Cameron’s Studio."
The exhibition includes paintings, many created during his residency at Ventnor Botanic Garden, as well as illuminated photographic works mounted on the backs of theatre light lenses.
These circular, backlit images are designed to look like glowing portholes into another world.
Mr Buron first exhibited at Dimbola in 2014.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 3pm.
From March 28, opening hours extend to seven days a week, from 10am to 4pm.
