A Christmas window display competition in Yarmouth brought festive cheer and creative flair to the town.

The annual contest was organised by the Yarmouth Traders Retail Collective and led by Adrian Evans, with sponsorship from Wightlink.

The ferry operator provided travel vouchers for the winning businesses.

Sam Woodman, partnerships marketing manager at Wightlink, said: "It was wonderful to see the town throw itself into the competition with such enthusiasm.

"The shops and pubs looked absolutely fantastic – well worth a visit for anyone who loves beautiful, independent businesses at their festive best.

"We were delighted to support this year’s event."

Mr Evans said: "Our businesses have all made a real effort – there are some fantastically decorated windows making the town feel so festive.

"Thank you to Sam and the team at Wightlink for helping make this year’s competition such a success."

This year’s judging began with a tour of Yarmouth’s independent shops and hospitality venues by Mr Woodman.

Photos were taken of each display before a wider panel of Wightlink staff selected the winners.

Holdings was named this year’s winner for its creative display.
