A toaster fire led to a road in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight being coned off for a short time this morning (Monday).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIOWFRS) was called to a property on Kings Road shortly before 10am.
Two engines, from Newport and Ryde fire stations were called, alongside a fire officer in a car.

It's understood waffles left in a toaster were the reason for the call-out.
The fire was extinguished prior to the crews’ arrival, the fire service said.
A spokesperson for HIOWFRS said: "Firefighters carried out community activities at neighbouring properties before returning to the station at 10.30am.".
No injuries were reported, and no further action was required.
