Residents are being urged to share their views on shaping the future of Newport and Carisbrooke.

The Newport and Carisbrooke Community Council is inviting residents to participate in a survey that will inform the new strategic plan and upcoming budget.

The survey, which will run for five weeks, is aiming to gather responses to understand residents' priorities and aspirations for the area.

It will cover topics such as public spaces, transport, community events, facilities for young people, heritage and culture, and support for the elderly and vulnerable.

People will also have the opportunity to share their views on funding priorities and potential adjustments to the council tax precept.

The online version can be found at newportcarisbrooke.org.uk/survey.

For more information or to request a paper copy of the survey, please contact Newport and Carisbrooke Community Council at 01983 559119.

Cllr Deborah Matthews, chair of the assets and facilities committee said: "We want to ensure that the voices of our community are at the heart of everything we do. This survey gives residents a real opportunity to influence the future of Newport and Carisbrooke.

"Whether it’s preserving green spaces, supporting vulnerable residents, or improving local facilities, your feedback will help shape our strategic plan and guide how we allocate resources."
