The sudden death of a woman in her 30s was the cause of a major emergency service response which led to flats being evacuated in a cul-de-sac on the Isle of Wight yesterday (Monday).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary was called to a block of flats at Flitcroft Gardens, Lake at 12.49pm.
Officers were called by the ambulance service to reports of the death of a woman in her 30s.

Due to initial concerns there may have been potentially hazardous material inside, neighbouring flats within the block were evacuated and specialist teams from the fire and ambulance services attended.
No hazardous materials were identified and the address was deemed safe.
A spokesperson for the IW Ambulance service said: "Two double crews, one operational station commander, two tactical officers and the regional Hazardous Area Response Team were in attendance."
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was also called at around 1pm.
The cul-de-sac was cordoned off while emergency services attended.
Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) Ambulance Crew also entered the flat.
The woman’s next of kin have been informed of her death, and a file will be prepared for the coroner, police said.
