An Isle of Wight drug driver was caught over the limit on a cocktail of drugs and was seen trying to toss away more drugs in his possession.
James Willis, of Lower Road, Adgestone, attended the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 20.
The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to three counts of drug driving and one count of possession of a controlled drug of Class B, namely ketamine.
Lauren McConnell, prosecuting, said Willis came to police attention on Fairlee Road, just before the Racecourse Roundabout, after officers spotted his BMW 5-Series overtaking a vehicle at speed on March 23.

Willis was pulled over on Lushington Hill and provided a positive roadside DrugWipe reading.
The court heard that an officer spotted Willis throw something into a nearby field, which was found to be ketamine and more ketamine was discovered in his back pocket.
Blood tests revealed Willis was almost five times over the legal ketamine drive limit, four times over the MDMA limit and three times the cannabis limit.
Ms McConnell told magistrates Willis’s last offence was in 2021 when he was convicted for Class A drug supply.
Oscar Vincent, defending, asked magistrates for a pre-sentence report.
Willis was handed an interim driving disqualification and unconditional bail and will return for sentencing on December 6.
