Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are appealing for witnesses after a car "almost collided" with a pedestrian on a pavement in Newport.
A silver Mercedes mounted the pavement at the junction from Staplers Road onto Coppins Bridge, at Snooks Hill, said police.
The incident is said to have happened between 4.20pm and 4.30pm on Monday, August 12.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Were you travelling through this location on this date and around this time? Did you witness the incident at all, or perhaps capture it on dashcam?
"We are not asking for information to identify the vehicle driver, we are simply keen to identify any key witnesses.
"We appreciate that a few weeks have passed since this incident, however someone may recall witnessing this and be able to provide us with crucial information.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44240345057.
"You can also submit information to us online here."
