FIREFIGHTERS from the Isle of Wight have been called out to a incident on Shanklin seafront.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire on the beach, at 7.12pm today (Friday, September 20).
An on-call crew from Shanklin was called to Chine Hollow, beyond the Fisherman's Cottage pub.
The crew is currently searching for the fire's location.

UPDATED 8.39pm:
The crew discovered a smouldering camp fire of driftwood, left unattended.
One knapsack pump and two buckets of water were used to extinguish the fire, before firefighters returned to station at around 8pm.
