A NEW sentencing date has been set for an Isle of Wight man found guilty of an historic indecent assault on a male.

David Tickner, of Cook Avenue, Newport, was due to appear before a judge for sentencing at Southampton Crown Court earlier this month.

At a previous hearing at Salisbury Crown Court in July, the 61-year-old was found guilty of indecent assault on a male, between April 24, 1994, and April 23, 1996.

Tickner’s hearing has been adjourned to October 18 at Salisbury Crown Court.
