MAGISTRATES have issued a warrant for the arrest of an Isle of Wight woman who failed to attend court to face an accusation of assaulting a police officer.

Paris Fleet, of West Street, Ryde, was due to face a charge of assaulting an emergency worker, namely a female police officer, by beating, in Newport, on January 24.

She was due at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 3.  

An arrest warrant was issued for the 26-year-old to secure her attendance.
