Emergency services have attended what appears to be a single-vehicle road traffic incident on the Isle of Wight.

Police and ambulance services were called to an accident near Shorwell, at around 4pm this afternoon (Wednesday September 4). 

There is debris at the scene.

The road is partially blocked with traffic being directed around the accident scene.

UPDATE (4.56pm): Police have said in a statement, "This was a minor injury collision involving one car, reported at 3.48pm."
