THOUSANDS of Islanders and scooter enthusiasts took to the streets to watch the annual Isle of Wight Scooter Rally ride-out yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
Each year, over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the event attracts hordes of riders and yesterday was no exception.
It was another wonderful occasion, with thousands of scooterists waving to pedestrians as they made their way across the Island.
Setting off at 1pm from the former ice rink in Ryde, the riders made their way to Puckpool, Nettlestone and St Helens, then along Latimer Road to Bembridge.
The route saw them head to Yaverland, through Sandown High Street, Shanklin and Apse Heath, before arriving at Sandown Airport.
