The Isle of Wight County Press has teamed up with the historic Cowes Torquay Cowes powerboat race event to offer the chance to win a luxury day out for two people.
The winners will be treated on Saturday, August 24, as the guest of presenting sponsor Experience Kissimmee.
This will be the 63rd running of the world’s most famous powerboat race and you could be there at the newly-named Cowes Powerboat Festival with a companion to watch the start of both the Cowes Torquay Cowes and Cowes Poole Cowes races at Egypt Point in the Solent from a motor yacht.
The racing starts at 9am.
You will then enjoy brunch at the Royal Ocean Racing Club on Castle Hill before visiting race control at the prestigious Royal Yacht Squadron, founded in 1815 and regarded as the most prestigious and exclusive yacht club in the world.
This is to watch the leading powerboats return to Cowes after their 210-mile journey.
You will then meet the race winners and watch the podium presentations at Cowes Yacht Haven.
You will receive £100 to cover your personal expenses, together with photographs of your memorable day.
Held every year since 1961 over the August bank holiday weekend and attracting international teams competing in different classes, the race covers a challenging course along the south coast with boats reaching speeds in excess of 100mph.
Situated in Central Florida close to Orlando, Kissimmee is the gateway to world-famous theme parks, attractions, the headwaters of the Everglades, extraordinary natural wonders and boasts outstanding shopping and dining opportunities.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply enter the competition in this week's County Press, out on Friday, August 9.
