WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.
Here is a list of some of the roadworks and associated closures:
FRESHWATER: Bedbury Lane will close during lining works, between its junctions with Middleton and Victoria Road, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
NEWPORT: Nunnery Lane will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Newport footpath 26 and Marvel Lane, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
RYDE: Osborne Road will close during excavation and investigation works, between its addresses No.32 and No.62, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
SHALFLEET: Ningwood Hill will shut during lining works, between its junctions with Hampstead Road and Cranmore Avenue, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
WROXALL: Redhill Lane will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Godshill footpath 43 and Shanklin Road, over one shift sometime Wednesday and Friday, July 5. An alternative route will be signposted.
COWES: Granville Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Granville Bridge Road and Park Road, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, July 5. An alternative route will be signposted.
NETTLESTONE: Barnsley Farm Lane will close during carriageway repair works, from its junction with Bullen Road and along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, July 5. There is no alternative route.
EAST COWES: Castle Street will close during utility works, between its junctions with York Avenue and Well Road, from 7pm on Monday until 6am on Tuesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
YARMOUTH: Hill Place Lane will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 8.30am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, July 19. An alternative route will be signposted.
TOTLAND: Hurst Hill will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8.30am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, July 5. An alternative route will be signposted.
