A Dua Lipa tribute act is to be one of a host of performances planned for an Isle of Wight beach regatta, which returns on August 8.

Meanwhile, a grand finale of fireworks will round off Shanklin Regatta, from 9.30pm.

Families are promised a day of free fun including local business stalls, food and drink, and live entertainment.

Meanwhile, new attraction, Market Street, will open at 10.15am, where organisers say there will be locally-loved favourites, such as photographers and fudge makers.

Shore sports, including a tug-of-war and the classic egg and spoon race, will take place from 10.30am, on Hope Beach.

The food and drink village will include a bar, and other eating options will include fish and chips and pizza.

Other live entertainment, scheduled throughout the evening, will include Celena Sax, who has performed on cruise ships all over the world.

Soundwaves Entertainment, a mobile DJ service, will bring the beats.

Red Funnel has provided free travel for the event's stage truck.
