A MAN from London accused of attacking his father on the Isle of Wight with a butter knife, will stand trial this summer.
Lee Paul Merrick, of Pownall Road, Hackney, East London, denied assaulting his father, Christopher Merrick, by beating, in Cowes.
He is also accused of causing criminal damage to a painting, in Cowes, on February 18.
He appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court.
The 34-year-old was bailed to reappear for trial at the same venue on August 29.
