The Isle of Wight Festival is under a month away, as excitement builds for another outing to Seaclose Park.

To celebrate, we've been looking through the County Press archive at photos of the stars who have adorned the main stage in years gone by.

The festival celebrates its 25th outing this year, with a special free Experience 25 exhibition.

Recognising all iterations of the festival since 1968, the Experience 25 collection highlights both the original events and those since 2002 when the festival was revived by John Giddings.

Hosted by the Newport and Carisbrooke Community Council at 64 High Street, Newport, the exhibition will be on from June 3 to July 29.

Archives from the festival's initial run of 1968, 1969, and 1970 are being provided by Ray Foulk, who organised those editions alongside his brothers.

The collection includes memorabilia from performances by Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, The Doors, and Jimi Hendrix.

Additionally, Experience 25 will present materials from the recently concluded Dimbola exhibition Freshwater and will highlight performances from artists of the past 22 years including Amy Winehouse, The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie.

The exhibition also features previously unreleased artwork.

The exhibition opens 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, including the festival weekend of June 22 and 23, along with selected Saturdays.
