A NEW trial date has been set for an Isle of Wight man accused of multiple serious offences, including two counts of sexual assault in Ventnor.
David Yates, of Spanners Close, Chale Green, was due to stand trial last week, beginning on May 13.
The 42-year-old denies two counts of sexual assault on a female aged 16 or over, three counts of ill treatment of a child or young person, and a single count of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour.
The charges relate to dates between January 24, 2010, and March 25, 2022.
His trial did not go ahead and is now fixed for December 9.
