A charity football match will bring together prominent Isle of Wight businesses and individuals this afternoon (Sunday, May 26).

The 11-a-side game will involve players from over 40 local businesses and will raise funds to aid Mountbatten’s vital services.

The match will kick off at around 2pm at Brading Football Club on Vicarage Lane.

Designed to break away from traditional networking formats, organiser Ellie Moore, founder of local printing business Workwear Island, has curated an exciting day centred around camaraderie and community spirit.

The event promises fun for all ages, with additional attractions including a live DJ, inflatable football games for children, hot food and a well-stocked bar.

Attendees can also look forward to hearing from Mountbatten, who will take the stage to share their impactful work within the community.

Businesses taking part include:

Wight Glaze, Ryde Taxis, Bembridge Co-op, Birdham Bembridge, The Castle Inn (Newport), Football Fun Factory, The Wheatsheaf Inn (Newport), CB Decor, Garden Knights, Isle Build It, H.M Tiling, Lucas Glazing, Modern Landscapes, Call On Me, Island Tribe Magazine and L.Taylor Services.

Islanders are invited to come along on May 26 from midday for a small donation, while children can attend for free.
