An 18-year-old woman from the Isle of Wight broke into a Ford Fiesta and stole headlight light bulbs, a court has heard.

Lorelei Fisher, formerly of Carter Avenue, Shanklin, appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on May 17.

Fisher entered guilty pleas to charges of theft from a motor vehicle and interfering with a motor vehicle.

In the early hours of April 16 this year, Fisher was seen to be gaining entry to a vehicle at Chestnut Court on Carisbrooke Road.

Court heard how she attempted to break in to a silver Vauxhall Astra, before gaining entry to a Ford Fiesta.

Liz Miller, prosecuting, said she was stopped by police who saw the contents of the car's glove box scattered everywhere.

After a search, car headlight light bulbs were found in her pocket.

Fisher is also due to be sentenced for five other offences, court heard.

Defending, Oscar Vincent, asked for the case to be adjourned to hear all the cases together.

Magistrates agreed, adjourning sentencing to May 28.
