A prisoner on the Isle of Wight will reattend court later this month, accused of assaulting two prison officers.
David Lake, a serving prisoner at HMP Isle of Wight (Albany) but formally of Wellington, Somerset, attended the IW Magistrates’ Court via videolink on Friday, May 10.
Lake is accused of two counts of assaulting a prison officer on September 18 last year.
The 56-year-old former Cambridge University researcher did not enter a plea.
Lake will remain at HMP IW (Albany) and will attend magistrates court via videolink on May 31.
