A public meeting will be held next week to update residents on Ventnor’s Eastern Esplanade and Leeson Road, which was closed by a major landslide in early December last year.
UPDATE: Tickets sell out for Ventnor's Leeson Road landslip update meeting
The Ventnor residents’ meeting, hosted by the Isle of Wight Council, will take place on Tuesday (May 14) in St Catherine’s Church from 5pm to 6.30pm.
The meeting will include an update on the reopening of the Eastern Esplanade later this month and the next steps for Leeson Road following the installation of specialist monitoring equipment.

The agenda also includes an update on the Environment Agency’s Ventnor coastal programme as well as an opportunity for residents to ask questions.
At the previous meeting on February 29, residents discovered that Leeson Road would not reopen for vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians until further monitoring had been carried out.
To get a mobile eTicket, visit the meeting’s event page HERE.
The meeting will be by ticket only, to contain numbers within the fire safety limits of the church.
If anyone requires support to complete the online ticket form, call the council’s contact centre for help on 823134.
