Medina House school in Newport, remains 'good' according to its latest Ofsted, and has been praised for being 'a happy place to be.'

'Pupils are safe and well cared for, attendance is high, everyone is included and adults skilfully support pupils to make choices. Every pupil is respected as a unique individual,' the report says.

Quoted in the findings, one parent said: ‘Medina House are amazing at looking at each child individually and adjusting to their needs accordingly."

Inspectors visited on February 28 and 29 and the report has just been published.

More training is among next steps for the school Ofsted said.

"Currently, not all staff have the relevant expertise to meet the diverse needs of the pupils. New leaders have identified the need to ensure the right staff are provided with training as necessary," says the report.
