A popular Isle of Wight gin company scooped a bronze medal last month at the prestigious London Spirits Competition 2024.

The Isle of Wight Gin Company's 'Island Spirit Gin' won bronze at the competition, which is considered to be the ultimate seal of approval in the global spirits industry.

The awards attracted entrants from over 50 countries, all looking to benchmark themselves against their global competition, judged in three areas.

Based in Godshill, where they grow, distil and bottle their gin, rum and vodka, Leigh Jackman from IW Gin said: "We are truly over the moon to shine a light on an Island grown and produced product

"We are very passionate about taste, so are very honoured to receive this award."

Island Spirit Gin is inspired by the summer breeze on the Island, using mainly Island botanicals and is only sold through local farm shops, tourist attractions and family-owned businesses.
