One person has been taken to hospital following a late night crash in Calbourne on the Isle of Wight.
UPDATE: A man and his dog have died, police have confirmed.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was called to a collision on Calbourne Road at 10.18pm last night (Sunday, April 7).
Police and paramedics were also alerted.
One vehicle was involved in the crash, the fire service said.
The road was closed between its junctions with Betty Haunt Lane and Elm Lane.
Three engines from Newport Fire Station attended the incident.
The County Press has contacted Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary for a comment.
