Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary is investigating a crash near St Lawrence tonight (Sunday).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue's crews from Ventnor, Shanklin and Newport were all called to a collision near St Lawrence Shute, on Whitwell Road, shortly before 5pm.
The fire service said all the occupants were out of the two vehicles involved when it arrived.
Paramedics treated two casualties at the scene.
Whitwell Road is partially closed.
Most cars are diverting via Godshill and Whitwell.
An earlier road closure, at lower Gills Cliff Road, due to a landslide, is making access to St Lawrence tricky, however St Lawrence Shute remains open and can be accessed from Ventnor.
