An Isle of Wight weather warning for rain is now live, issued by the IW Met Service.

It is due to run until 10am tomorrow (Monday).

It says we can expect persistent and heavy rain, as much as 20mm widely and 30mm in some parts.

An Environment Agency flood alert remains for the Eastern Yar, meanwhile, and an update is expected by 5pm tomorrow.

The river's water levels are falling slowly, the agency said, though it noted a band of heavy rain for the Island, into Monday.

It added: "We will continue to monitor the forecast and will ensure the river remains free of any reported blockages."

Warnings have also been issued by the national Met Office for parts of the south, but they do not include the Isle of Wight.

However, national forecasters say we can expect heavy rain until 2am.
