AN ISLE of Wight man accused of assaults against women in the Shanklin area will stand trial before a judge and jury.
Edward Lale, of Marlborough Close, Ryde, denied charges of grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault by beating, and two of criminal damage, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
The alleged offences occurred between December 17-20 last year.
The 30-year-old was bailed to reappear for trial at the same venue on May 21.
The trial is predicted to last two days.
