An Isle of Wight postcode has been named as one of the 'coolest places to move to' in 2024, according to The Sunday Times.

The national newspaper has 'homed in' on what it calls the 'hottest neighbourhoods' to know this year.

Among the 10 'hip' postcodes to feature on the list is PO38 - which, of course, includes Ventnor, St Lawrence and Bonchurch.

The article, which can be read in full here, mentions Ventnor as being Queen Vic’s favoured seaside retreat.

While it says St Lawrence and Bonchurch regularly attracts "artistic off-grid types tired of the rat race."

It also names a series of businesses and Island creatives, including Binnel Studios, acclaimed potters Sue Paraskeva and Jane Cox, and Rosie Wolfenden, co-founder of the jewellery brand Tatty Devine.

The article reads: "For strolls and sunbathing head to sleepy Steephill Cove or dine on crab-filled pasties amid the kitsch of Lady Scarlett’s Tea Parlour."

It adds that PO38 is for the 'design junkies'.

Postcodes in the Highlands, London, Devon and Newcastle also feature on the list.
