Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have released an update following a dramatic crash on the Middle Road this morning (Tuesday, January 23).
Emergency services were called at 7.39am to reports of a collision on Newport Road (The Middle Road), just past Calbourne Mill.
The collision involved one vehicle, a white Vauxhall Corsa, which left the road travelling towards Newport and ended up in a ditch, standing vertically, nose down.
Ambulance, fire and police teams arrived at the scene shortly after, and the road was closed briefly.
A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Rescue Service told the County Press one casualty was passed into the care of ambulance paramedics.
Meanwhile, police have said no injuries have been reported.
The road reopened in both directions at around 8.30am and is passable.
