ISLE of Wight firefighters were called to a kitchen fire in the West Wight this afternoon (Friday).
At around 2pm, a single fire crew from Freshwater was alerted to a property fire on Colwell Road.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said it was an oven fire which was found to be out on arrival.
Further fire crews en route were stood down and the Freshwater crew helped one person to safety.
They received treatment and firefighters stood down at 3.30pm.
