The Vaccination Hub at St Mary’s Hospital, in partnership with primary care, is coming to a series of community venues this month and will be offering winter vaccinations, advice and support to help everyone stay fit and well this winter.

The health and wellbeing clinics offer information and advice on winter wellness from Covid-19 and flu vaccinations to blood pressure checks, healthy lifestyle choices to information on managing stress.

There will also be an opportunity to enjoy a free hot drink, soup, and cake.

The NHS winter Covid-19 vaccination programme provides protection over winter, keeping people from developing serious illnesses, and helping to minimise hospitalisations during busy winter months.

Sue Lightfoot, clinical lead at St Mary’s Vaccination Hub, said: “We know there are some people who haven’t had their winter vaccinations, for one reason or another, and we want to make it as convenient as possible for them, so we’re pleased to offer a walk-in service at St Mary’s Vaccination Hub for anyone over 16 and eligible, who still needs to have their first, second or booster vaccinations or this year’s flu jab.

“If getting your vaccinations at a venue nearer to your home, or workplace, is more convenient then come and see us at the health and wellbeing clinics that are being held in community venues across the Island this month. This will be the last chance to get your Covid and flu vaccinations this winter.”
