A drunk teenager forced her way into her ex-boyfriend’s home and assaulted his mother before attacking multiple door security staff at Isle of Wight pubs and bars.

Maisie Taylor, of Standen Avenue, Newport, pleaded guilty to five counts of assault by beating and a charge of criminal damage at the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 2.

Prosecuting, Liz Miller said the 19-year-old arrived at her ex-boyfriend’s address on the evening of August 19, 2023, and damaged the garden gate, screaming to be allowed inside the house.

Ms Miller told the court Taylor forced her way inside and stamped on the foot of her ex-boyfriend’s mum.

At 10pm, Taylor was removed from the Hogshead for being too drunk, the prosecutor said, but managed to sneak back in through a side door before being kicked out for a second time.

Ms Miller said Taylor tried to sneak back in again but was spotted by two door supervisors, who attempted to stop her but were both "hit in the face."

The court heard that the door supervisors added Taylor’s name and description to a group to alert other door staff in Newport.

At around 12.30am on August 20, Taylor arrived at Fever and Boutique nightclub, Ms Miller told magistrates, and was denied entry when the supervisor recognised her from the group.

Ms Miller said Taylor left the area but returned later, and argued with the supervisor, assaulting him in the process.

A member of the public tried to intervene but was "slapped" by Taylor, described by another nearby supervisor as an "almighty slap that could be heard from some distance away."

Oscar Vincent, defending, said his client has no previous convictions and has been in the care system after experiencing "significant childhood trauma."

Mr Vincent told the court further circumstances and issues led to the offences, which should be explored in a pre-sentence report.

Magistrates agreed and ordered an all-options pre-sentence report.

Taylor was granted unconditional bail and must reappear before magistrates on February 16 for sentencing.
