The show must go on, and go on it did when Trinity Youth Theatre started back up today.

Cowes Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (CAODS) was delighted to bring back its youth theatre after a hiatus.

Starting today, January 7, Trinity Youth Theatre is open to anyone aged eight to 16 who would like to learn more about all aspects of theatre.

There's  also the chance to get involved in two performances in the next six months.

Running weekly on Sundays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, Trinity Youth Theatre will be free, but membership of CAODS will be required at £8 for the year for under 16s.

In March, there will be a small production of Robyn Hood in the theatre clubroom for families and society members to watch.

In May the young stars will get the opportunity to perform as part of The Likes of Us, written by Sir Tim Rice, which will be Trinity Theatre’s first major musical in many years.

Dinah Bowman, CAODS president, said: “It is wonderful that our youth theatre is restarting. We have had lots of enquiries to join, as the children do so enjoy being involved and they love all that theatre gives them.

"There are two exciting productions in the pipeline for our young people so we hope that many of our Island children will be joining our youth theatre for some fun times.”
