The Bluetones

Strings Bar and Venue, Friday, May 10, at 7.30pm
The Bluetones (Image: The Bluetones/Facebook)Mark Morriss and Adam Devlin, are the legendary Britpop band, The Bluetones, with 13 top 40 singles under their belt. Expect 1990s classics, including Are You Blue or Are You Blind? and Bluetonic and acoustic versions of Britpop hits, as well as music, banter and storytelling.

British Lion

Strings Bar and Venue, Saturday, January 20, at 7.30pm

British Lion (Image: British Lion/Facebook)You may not know British Lion by name, but it’s fair to say that their bass player is rock music royalty. Steve Harris is a founding member of the legendary Iron Maiden and he formed British Lion to get away from the arenas and perform at smaller venues, such as Newport’s very own Strings. Unfortunately, the gig sold out almost immediately, but metal fans who managed to get tickets are in for a treat.

Bob Harris & Colin Hall

Songs the Beatles Gave Away at Quay Arts, on Saturday, April 20, at 8pm

With rare extracts from Bob’s interview archives and stories behind the hits, misses and demos that were recorded by The Beatles, this event is perfect for fans of the legendary Liverpool group.

Chris McCausland

Shanklin Theatre, Friday, October 4, at 8pm

Chris McCausland is coming to Shanklin Theatre (Image: Chris McCausland)All Christmas, Chris McCausland has been appearing on our TV screens. In October, he will bring his latest tour, Yonks!, to Shanklin Theatre. Chris’s last tour - which saw him perform on the Island in May 2023 - was a sell out. Make sure you buy a ticket while they are still available.

David Suchet

Shanklin Theatre, Sunday, February 25, 7pm

David Suchet (Image: David Suchet)On his Poirot and more tour, Sir David Suchet will make his way to Shanklin Theatre to discuss his award winning career and show off 'the actor behind the detective.' David is an Emmy winner and throughout his long career in acting has appeared on stage and on screen. 

Paul Foot

Quay Arts, Saturday, March 9, at 8pm

Paul Foot (Image: Quay Arts/Paul Foot)Returning to Quay Arts, Paul Foot, who has made appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Would I Lie To You?, presents Dissolve. With a tour that is more personal than ever before, Paul’s comedy is unlike any other.

Tom Davis

Maybe you saw him in the Christmas blockbuster, Wonka, as the evil Mr Bleacher? Maybe you listen to his Wolf and Owl podcast, with fellow comic, Romesh Ranganathan? From leaving school with no qualifications to becoming a father, Tom’s “Underdog” tour will talk through his life, in a show that is sure not to disappoint.
