When Sandra Thearle bought her new house, in the Isle of Wight town of Shanklin, she discovered a treasure trove.

She moved to the property in the 1960s, and was reminded of her find after the recent landslide in Bonchurch.

Sandra uncovered a photo album with very old - and very interesting - photos of what appears to be the landslip, though she told the County Press many of the images did not have names and dates.

Last year, Sandra kindly gave them to long-standing stationer, WJ Nighs and Sons, in Shanklin, via an historical speaker on the Island.
