AN ISLE of Wight man accused of multiple sexual assaults against a young girl will go before a judge early next year.
UPDATE June 2024: Mr Wood was found not guilty and the matter discharged
The case of Daniel Wood, of Swains Road, Bembridge, was heard before Brighton magistrates on Tuesday, December 26 (Boxing Day).
The 41-year-old is accused of engaging in sexual activity with a child in East Sussex, between September 8, 2017, and September 9, 2018.
He is also accused of sexually assaulting a child between August 30, 2016, and August 31, 2018, and two further counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, between September 8, 2017, and September 9, 2018.
Mr Wood saw his case adjourned to January 23, 2024, at Lewes Crown Court.
He was granted conditional bail until that date.
